One of the oldest festivals in the country, George Wein’s Newport Folk Fest celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009. Considered one of the premier folk festivals in the country, it’s the sight of the infamous Dylan electric performance in 1965 as well as hundreds of other performances.
Ice Cream Man first hit the fest in 2009, mostly because we were in the area (sort of). After being in awe of the scenery and people that run the fest (and having been invited back) Ice Cream Man is returning for 2010 and hopefully years to come.
