Random, AKA Buff Monster, has built an army of little pick creatures that seem to pop up everywhere. I remember seeing stuff years ago when I first started buying graph and art mags. Then it just seemed to never stop.
I showed up at the tail end of the closing reception at Transport Gallery on Gallery. As you can tell from all the pictures, I’m glad I made it. It’s a quaint place that works great for artists who are willing
to take advantage of the 25+ foot walls and the nooks and crannies on both floors. One nice thing about the show was that whole upstairs wall was filled with small square original paintings for a bargain rate of a hundred bucks a piece. A very reasonable price for any art, let alone from someone with as much history as Random.
After chatting it up with the guy running the gallery I headed out and almost got attacked by two super-hero-kids who wanted to know where all the ice cream was. Sitting on the front steps was Random and his crew. I told them about the ice cream adventure but all I could offer was stickers and a movie. Can’t wait for the truck to get back on the road so I don’t have to travel empty handed.
With so much information out there, the internet is the next perfect place to
infiltrate. I can just imagine a little buff monster floating across my screen one day. Til then, checkout BuffMonster.com and you might even find Paris Hilton posing with a buff.
