Shout Out Louds play just downright good-feeling music. Even the songs that some may think to be a darker song, like Wish I Was Dead, have an upbeat vibe to it. When I first got into the Troubadour > I was a bit shocked to see the place damn near empty. But by the time the Shout Out Louds went on the place was packed. You could easily feel the energy of the crowd, especially during the more up beat songs like Shut Your Eyes and Hurry Up. There was very little delay in between songs, some people may like it when a band goes on stage plays and then just comes off. However I like it when bands make some small talk in between songs. I feel that as an audience you get a better feel for the artist as people and a better feel for their music. It was no surprise that the Shout Out Louds had a sold out show. And I expect the same for the next time they play a show in L.A.
