Matt called me around 7:30 to see if I could shoot the Nada Surf show at 8:00. So I hurried up and jumped on the train to get to the Henry Fonda. By the time I got there The King of France was almost done with their set. But from what I heard of their last couple of songs I really like them. Up next was Rogue Wave. I think Rogue Wave is an up and coming band. I really like their sound. I highly recommend checking them out.

Nada Surf opened up their set with the song “Inside of Love”. That really got everyone into it, especially me. Some of their songs were a bit on the mellow side, and they had me totally into it. Thats says a lot since I am not really big on a lot of mellow music. Nada Surf also played some killer covers, one was a cover of There is a Light That Never Goes Out by the smiths and the other was a personal favorite of mine Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division. Nada Surfs version of Love Will Tear Us Apart is probably the best version of that song I have heard. Maybe even better than the New Order version I heard at Coachella last year. Nada Surf does not mess around. They played a 6 song encore. AOLs network live was at the show recording everything. Ive never been to there site or anything so I have no idea how that works or if it is even free. But if you have access to it you should definitely check it out.
