I was already running late getting to the Troubadour to check out Nico Vega. And to make matters worse my friend and I could not find parking. Luckily we made it just in time. They were just beginning to set up for Nico Vega’s set. When I first got in the place seemed a bit empty but by the time N.V went on the place was packed.
N.V sure knows how to put on a show. Once I got an eye on Aja, the singer, it was hard to look away. Her good lucks, sultry voice, and killer stage presence make her truly a site to see. About mid way through their set she acted out a dialog of a women fed up with her lover. And the part of the lover was played by the guitar. I was digging it and wished they would have played a bit longer. They are playing at SXSW and if you are lucky enough to be able to make it there you should definitely check em out.
