I woke up to a “get your shit over to the main stage” yell. We had an early morning jam session. Now, with most places this would be like, the people who just came earlynot Las Cruceseveryone was there alreadywe played second after the first on the other main stage, so it was noonish. But we had our biggest crowd so far this summerand new Mexican kids beat the shit out of each other for rock n rollthe video from this day is totally classic.

Stoned for days now. Including eating a gigantic weed chocolate bar with peanut butter pretzels in it by myself before crossing the border. I should’ve shared it, but once I took one bite of it, it hypnotized me. Oh, and I paid for it. My eyes were bleeding by the time we went through the last border. And then the team zissou weed extravaganza last night. That was hogleg after passed hogleg. And now, early to rise, early to rock again. At least merch sales are up, since the new album came outparty

Today was uncharacteristically awesome. The venue is great here because there’s a huge waterpark next door that lets us rules it after hours. We just jam and then go chill there all day. Plus 2 other cool things about today:
#1. It was the first day ever in an amphitheatre that there was a big enough crowd to where I could
jump off the PA stacks into the crowd. It’s easy on our stage, but those amphitheatres are f_cking high and far away usually, but today the crowd was radical.
#2. Today was the day our buddies Birds of Avalon from Raleigh, NC came and jammed on the Volcom stage with us.one of the best bands in the countrycheck em out
And of course, the waterpark was rad when like 300 of us swarmed on it at nighthot tour mamas and total water slide bro sessions.

Definitely badass performance today.it was a million degrees, that was all miserable, but in the end you look past all the bullshit to the jams. We jammed so fcking hard today that, well there’s a part in David Lee Roth’s book, Crazy from the Heat, and he talks about jamming so hard that he’s about to pass out, or tries to make himself rock so hard he passes out. We could’ve done that today. The Casualties came over and played the Valient Thorr drinking game (Everytime I say “You know what I’m talking about!” you drink) and Dougie from The Blackhearts brought Joan Jett over. She was beating her fist on the side of the stage. The crowd was amazing and we dedicated the show to all the Detroit rock n roll badasses that have come and goneafter this, Joan asked us to go out with her on her next tour for a stintkiller
