Okay so this is a little tiny baby follow up addendum to the Silverlake Lounge show review. The other review was spot on about the sound and performance, but left out two things I think deserve mentioning. A) The drummer was totally sky high crazy. Abbey said he reminded her of Animal and we were tempted to shout out for “Wipeout” or its Icelandic equivalent. B) This band is straight Dream Date: Icelandic Edition. What charming young men – completely at home on stage, funny, photogenic, and talkative. I guess they’re used to playing for much larger audiences back home. I can just see the teenage girls. Hell, I’d totally hang out at the mall with these boys.
So sweet small show, I’m glad the cold didn’t get in anyone’s way and so was the band. And I was happy we got kazoos too.
