The Virgins opened the evening at the Glass House. They played to a half full house. The music was entertaining, but the performance was somewhere along the lines of a young high school band.
The crowd began to gather during the White Rabbits’ ensemble performance. These entertainers worked the stage in a rotating station of instruments. Switching from keyboard to drums to maracas to tambourines to dual drums, rotating lead singers throughout as well. The music was good and you could tell they had a good time entertaining the fans.
The crowd was packed by the time Tokyo Police Club walked on stage. They ignited the crowd with the demand “Operator: Get me the president of the world!” That intensity lasted the rest of the night. Most entertaining was the fantastic performance given by the keyboardist as he passionately rocked the audience with OCD detail given to every note and tune. When done, they retreated back stage, but the fans’ shouts of praise brought TPC back for an encore before the night was over.
