Radiohead unveiled their new blog , titled “The Most Gigantic Flying Mouth For Some Time”. This blog is specifically targeted at monitoring and discussing the carbon footprint of their 2008 tour.
The main feature of the blog is a carbon calculator that allows you to calculate the carbon footprint of your route to the gig. The features for this calculator are quite extraordinary. It allows for multiple legs with different modes of transportation for each leg. (Ex. You could calculate your carbon footprint for a trip that had you driving to the airport, flying, driving to the venue with the same or a different route back.) It really is quite amazing.
Besides allowing their fans to see how much carbon they are emitting, Radiohead wants you to discuss the bands progress in reducing emissions and hopefully educate everyone involved. They include links to lobby your government.
