A few years ago Bessie was featured on the cover of Vapors Magazine with the Ice Cream Skate Team. When the issue came out Vapors threw a party on Melrose and we slang a bunch of cream there. That was the first time I think I had heard of Ice Cream, which is a clothing line founded by Pharrell Williams (Netunes/NERD) and Nigo (BAPE).

While in New York we decided to stop by the Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream store in SoHo to sling some cream for a couple hours. We barely fit Newt into the parking spot right out front but once we did, our arrival was welcomed. Michelle at BBC had set up everything and made some flyers and posted some stuff on their site to get the word out and quite a few folks in expensive, fashionable street wear stopped by. Kate was doing a lot of the slinging while I snapped some photos and wandering around the store trying some ball caps and taking pics of some of the cool ice cream themed pieces on display.

I think the biggest customers of the day were the workers from the neighboring stores. Kid Robot was somewhere nearby and we made sure to hook them up with some treats. Thanks to Michelle for putting it all together and for the Ice Cream shirts.

After a couple hours we had to split to make it over to the After the Jump festival on 6th Street in Williamsburg. The block that Galapagos and Music Hall of Williamsburg are on was closed for a rock n roll block party. Abbey and her punk photo blog is a part of the blog coalition that curates and puts on the fest. HEALTH was flown in from LA to play and a lot of the other bands on the bill were smaller and/or local. We caught up with Paul who was there and slung for a couple hours before calling it a night. Hopefully the timing works out next year so we can make it back.
