Free Gold Watch and Vice Magazine Magic Party in LV

The Sin City ice cream crew pulled off their first (Vegoose not included) local Vegas event with style. The annual MAGIC mens fashion convention brought a slew of after parties to the Las Vegas valley last week, so on Tuesday we decided to don our Hater Blockers and hook up with the boys of Free Gold Watch at the Beauty Bar for their party with Vice magazine featuring Japanese Motors and DJs Vin Sol and 86ed Supra.

A scheduling change at work, meant that my original plan to leave work early, get all the ice cream and head straight to the event wasnt going to work. Plan B involved waiting at the ice cream distributor until they opened, loading up the cart with ice cream and as much dry ice as I could, and driving straight to work, with the cart strapped into the back of the pick-up truck I borrowed from a co-worker (thanks Kevin)! Im new at this, but it doesnt take an ice cream expert to know that leaving 300 pieces of ice cream in the back of a pick-up truck all afternoon on a scorching 110{degrees} Las Vegas day could be a recipe for disaster, this could be interesting.

After some minor delays at the distributor, I raced to work and sat down for a mandatory 9 oclock briefing with literally 13 seconds to spare. I couldnt help but notice the snickers and funny looks from my co-workers. If they only knew I had a truck full of ice cream out in the parking lot baking in the sun.

I began the day fearing the worst, but periodic trips to the truck to check my goods, were beginning to deter my fears. The dry ice was working like a champ and my worries were ill-founded (two days later, the leftover ice cream was still so cold in my garage that we had to use warm water to surgically remove my wifes tongue from an orange dream bar!)

I met Megan and my photographers Jorge and Joe at the Beauty Bar, and the night went off without a hitch. I was really excited about our photo booth for the event, especially after seeing Jorge and Joes work on Robot Report. Check out the pics, they are killer, and in my opinion really capture just how fun it is to give and receive free ice cream. Thanks to all our models! Keep an eye out for the ICM photo booth coming to a party near you!

The Japanese Motors played an energetic but short set on the back-alley stage, quickly passing the baton to the DJs inside shortly after midnight. When we left at 2 AM, the party was rocking inside, and as hard as it was to leave, we all had to wake up early for work the next day.

Unfortunately, we were too tuckered out to make it to the BPM magazine and 555 Sol sponsored What Happens in Vegas DVD release party at the Jet. Much thanks to Paul and Parag of UG Strategies for the invite, well hit you guys up next time, I promise.
