Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has been added to the lineup for this weekends 2nd Annual Clean Air Clean Stars festival hosted by Indie 103.1 and Vacancy Records. BRMC will perform a special acoustic set at 9pm on Saturday, scheduled right before Black Angels.

Although an additional special guest is in works for Sunday, the likes of Dead Meadow, War Paint, Cuchillo, Silver Rockets, Hopewell and many other artists will take over Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown.

The festival was started by local Los Angeles musicians Tommy Dietrick, Jason Anchondo and Mary Patton to raise environmental awareness after learning the Sawtooth fires in the Mojave Desert in 2006 could be attributed to elevated levels of nitric oxide, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide. The festival seeks to raise money for their cause and promote lifestyle changes that are crucial to reversing the state of our environment.

Camping is available for you to fully embrace the clean air and clear stars that Pioneertown boasts. So keep it green and carpool out to enjoy tunes from the 2nd Annual Global Cooling Festival.
