The beloved Neko Case will drop her first studio release in three years on 3/3/09.
Aside from touring and dipping a toe in the festival pool this year (Austin City Limits and Bumbershoot), Case has been rather busy recording her new album all over North America. Whether its Tucson, Brooklyn, Toronto, or Vermont, the folk goddess will finally unveil Middle Cyclone.
After gaining much attention and momentum with her last release, Fox Confessor Brings The Flood, Miss Case will enlist the services of M. Ward, members of her original band The New Pornographers, as well as Calexico, Los Lobos, The Lilys, The Sadies, and Giant Sand. In addition to her twelve original tracks, the LP will also include two covers, “Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth” by Sparks and “Don’t Forget Me” by Harry Nilsson.
Mark your calendars for this release, Middle Cyclone is surely a force to be reckoned with.
