Every so often I go on a Built to Spill binge. This one was brought on by a friend admitting to me that he just recently discovered BtS.
Recently, they’ve been playing their classic Perfect From Now On start to finish at festivals and I’ve always been partial to “I Would Hurt a Fly.” The song is incredibly dark and haunting, throwing in a lot of word play like “there’s a mean bone in my body.” And then it descends into chaos at the end. One of the few bands that can “jam” and I am into it.
