Matt & Kim have generated well warranted buzz this year. Their album, Grand, is a press-play record wrought with lingering anthems and toe tapping percussion. The duo demonstrates playfulness with beat and draws characteristics from such styles as early punk, 80’s synth pop, and metal. After a well-received national tour with Cut Copy, Matt & Kim have landed themselves in the company of Beastie Boys, Modest Mouse, John Vanderslice, The Avett Brothers, Band of Horses and The Dead Weather on the last day of the festival, August 28th – 30th.
