As Christina, Matt and myself pulled up to the FYF site in the burning hot sun, little did we know we’d be in for 12 hours of non-stop music and party party!
The heat took us out for a bit, but as soon as Matt “Lion King” Lindsey woke form his under the truck slumber, we rocked some serious ice cream slinging.
Bands and fans were getting handed their favorite creams, and as it pushed 90, the peeps were really down for the tasty treats.
As I stood in the baking sun, I was distracted from my pain by the cute and jumpin’ sounds of Avi Buffalo. They had what it took to take the edge off the burnin’ day. Then I made a dash over to see Dios. Once again they were coolin’ out the day, and it made it OK that you were yearnin’ for water.
Christina “Chonies” Person made a mad dash for the 3rd stage and a date with destiny and Har Mar Superstar. He pranced and advanced and wore poor little Chonies out! The tired in her step said no, but the Har Mar in her eyes said yeeeeees.
I was only fortunate enough to hand him an Orange Dream bar in his glitter purple shawl. Epic!
Lion King Got his treat near the end of the night with the mad funk stylings of Tim and Eric a.k.a Pussy Whip Bang Gang.
Yes… you heard me. The mad licks were sick, but the band fights were the moments of truth. And they made a long day feel well worth it.
Now giving that we were slinging lots of cream, we didn’t get to hit everything, But with Mr. Burton hittin the pics we got some good shots of the vibe and times.
