I’ve been waiting for the right time to get this post up and, with the release date being tomorrow, and with the vid below from their stop by Fallon, here we go!
I haven’t listened to an album as many times as Teen Dream in as long as I can remember. I think i’m on 30+ spins in the last month. I liked it from the first chorus on lead off track “Zebra” but I was worried it might be a little too simple to hold my interest for countless spins. Fear not, it holds up, and then some.
If you’re a fan of Grizzly Bear, it’s in the same vein. Very ethereal, melodius and catchy. You’ll find yourself humming or singing along frequently. Or listening to the album on your headphones while walking or riding your bike around town.
Check out Beach House‘s Sub Pop debut and also keep a look out for the videos that accompany each song on the album. They’re all filmed by different directors and add to the beauty of this record. Beach House will also be on the road for most of the year so catch them where you can, like Coachella!
