I’m much in need of a little pick-me-up right now and Living Sisters, a cup of coffee, and some Girl Scout cookies are hitting the spot. “Double Knots” is a lovey-dovey, fun and catchy pop song that instantly got stuck in my head when I was checking out some of their tracks on myspace.
The Living Sisters are a collective of three lovely Los Angeles singers, Inara George, Eleni Mandell, and Becky Stark. I think I saw a similar incarnation of this outfit a while back at Arthur Nights while sitting on a bean bag in an open loft. All of the ladies are busy with multiple projects but they found the time to come together to record their first album Love to Live which comes out on March 30th on Vanguard. They’ll be playing some shows around Los Angeles soon and will also be at SXSW if you’d like to see them live. I’m going to do my best to find them in Austin. They’d be so perfect for Road Trippin’.
