Louisville is really making a push in the festival world these days. One shining example is the Forecastle Fest. Located this year at Waterfront Park on the banks of the Ohio river, the three day fest is pulling out some festival mainstays.
The initial bands playing will be The Flaming Lips, Widespread Panic, Spoon, The Drive-By Truckers, Bassnectar, Minus the Bear, The New Deal, Lucero, a reunion by Cap ‘n Jazz, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek), Dar Williams, EOTO, Break Science, Mimosa, Mucca Pazza, Company of Thieves, Savoy, BoomBox, Two Fresh, and Morning Teleportation.
Assumedly The Flaming Lips and Widespread Panic will be two of the three headliners, although they are said to announce additional headliners in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
Three day passes are $150 and one day are $60 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
