As many of you know, Record Store Day hits the country this Saturday, April 17. Independent record stores around the country will be offering exclusive releases, special deals and some hush-hush, don’t tell anyone kind of stuff.
Some of the awesome stuff that we’ve caught wind of that may be available in limited quantities are:
Pavement – Quarantine The Past: Best of Pavement 12” vinyl, track listing selected by winner of Record Store Day contest (1,000 available)
MGMT – “Siberian Breaks” 12” single-sided disc with 12 minute track and etched side
Hole – Skinny Little Bitch 2 track single from upcoming album 10” white vinyl
Monsters of Folk – Double LP set on clear blue vinyl (2,000 available)
Wilco – Kicking Television deluxe package vinyl reissue box set with 4 LPs, 8 extra tracks, and extra CD (1,000 available)
And this is just a small sample. Be sure to check out RecordStoreDay.com to find out about these and other special stuff as well as find if your local store is participating (which it probably is). Some of our favorites like Fingerprints in Long Beach, Waterloo in Austin and Amoeba in SF and Hollywood are in on the fun.
