What do you get when you combine two drummers with four bass and synth players? You get the band Shout Out Out Out Out. Only Canada (Edmonton to be specific) could create such an energetic live act. They kick the highest, drum the loudest, and jam the hardest.
Listening to 2009’s Reintegration Time (Normals Welcome Records), you might picture a DJ spinning electro disco house music. See them perform and your mind will be forever changed. This is exactly the type of band you should go see live, but don’t forget to put on your dancing shoes. My favorite tracks include “Guilt Trips Sink Ships,” “Bad Choices,” and “In The End It’s Your Friends.”
The band recently played Ashville’s Moogfest over Halloween, along with groups including Neon Indian, Jonsi, MGMT and Hot Chip. They are currently touring the Northeastern US and Canada en route back to Edmonton.
