A month or two ago I received an email about Os Mutantes and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti co-headlining a tour. I was surprised, yet excited, that Ariel Pink was big enough to share headlining duties with Os Mutantes. It had been a while since I used to watch him solo at The Echo. I checked out his new album on 4AD and quickly realized the band is completely different than what I remember, outside of being pretty-out-there music.
Last year we caught up with Os Mutantes at The Independent in San Francisco and they played “Nuero Ciencia Do Amor” for us in their dressing room for Road Trippin’. You should watch that video then get tix to see them when they stop through town. Or…. you can catch both of them at Fun Fun Fun Fest this weekend in Austin.
