Philadelphia native Amos Lee made a recent stop in Hollywood to support his new CD Mission Bell. Looking confident and sporting throwback Nike high tops, Amos welcomed the crowd with his new track “El Camino.” Sashaying both physically onstage and through his deep catalog of music, he served his special recipe of funk, soul, and jazz, much to the delight of the packed crowd.

His lengthy 21 song set included new songs “Flower,” “Cup of Sorrow,” “Violin,” and “Windows are Rolled Down.” Also included were Amos favorites “Supply and Demand,” “Bottom of the Barrel,” “Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight,” and show closer “Arms of a Woman.”

Overall, the new record Mission Bell is amazing start to finish. The only questionable decision in an otherwise flawless evening was that my favorite new track “Learned A Lot” didn’t make the set list.

As a foot note, Amos did a special performance for Ice Cream Man while the guys were up in San Francisco for Outside Lands late last year. Check out his beautifully stripped down version of “Careless” here at IceCreamMan.com.
