Busy day for festivals. Today Bumbershoot, Langerado and MusicFest NorthWest all announced their lineups for the 2011 editions of their fests.
Bumbershoot is the biggest and most diverse of the group, featuring acts ranging from Wiz Khalifa to Broken Social Scene to Hall & Oates. Yeah, you read that right. Check out the full, huge lineup here.
Returning after a two year hiatus is South Florida’s Langerado. Canceled in 2009 due to poor ticket sales and non-existent in 2010, the fest comes back with a lineup featuring Death Cab for Cutie, Trey Anastasio, Ween, Ben Harper and Thievery Corporation. It’s sure to please the jam band fans that missed it the last couple years. The full lineup can be found here.
Finally, the smallest, but perhaps best fest of the three: MusicFest NorthWest or MFNW. They stayed away from booking the big name headliners and instead focused on putting together a solid overall lineup highlighted by Band of Horses, Explosions in the Sky, The Kills, Iron & Wine and so on. The fact that there are no real ‘headliners’ means there are a slew of great mid-level bands. It should be a great time. See the full lineup here.
