When I listen to this track I an thrust back 4 decades to May, 1968. France is having “a month of revolution”. Only a month earlier Martin Luther King Jr. had been assassinated resulting is massive civil unrest and days long riots in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Baltimore just to name a few.
But as I listen to the Small Faces instrumental title track, I feel swept away from all of this social anxiety. The rolling drum line and sweeping guitar melody take me to a better place in the same time.
