I arrived at the Electric Factory for the Taste Of Chaos tour right as Pierce The Veil was starting their set. They had so much energy and had the crowd going nuts. Their original style of music, what some would call “experimental,” really set the tone for the night. Theyve been building a solid fan base starting in southern California, working its way around the US and even the world after the release of their full length A Flair For The Dramatic. They played a fun set with all their hits and a few cover songs spanning from “Single Ladies” and “Lollipop”, to “Beat It”.

Next up was Four Year Strong. Definitely one of the best bands on the tour, they of course put on an awesome show. Their influences are very diverse with many different aspects of music present in their songs. They have bits of punk and pop, but still have some hardcore breakdowns and riffs. Having two singers really makes their sound truly unique. They played their singles Heroes Get Remembered, Legends never Die and Bada Bing, Wit A Pipe. I cant wait to hear some new material from these guys. After the tour they have plans to record a new album. I think that they will really blow up in 2009.

British band Bring Me The Horizon continued the onslaught. They had the largest fan base at the show that night and had everyone singing along and moshing to their wild riffs and breakdowns. Everyone seemed really excited to see them and they, no surprise, drew the biggest cheers of the night. They havent toured in the US much so for many of the fans this was a much awaited first time seeing the band. Most fans would probably agree it was worth the wait.

After all those great bands finally the headliners Thursday played. I was surprised because it seemed that even though Thursday was the most popular band on the tour, a lot of people decided to leave before their set even started, but like I said it seemed that the majority of the fans were there to see Bring Me The Horizon. They played a wide range of songs spanning from their first album to their newest recordings. They were the most musically talented of all the bands and it really showed during their performance, people really should have stuck around ’til the end.

Over all it was a great show and Im really glad I went. There are still plenty of dates on the tour so if you can make it out to Taste Of Chaos Id say its really worth the price of admission.
