Seven Inch Project : Charity Month

The Seven Inch Project is pretty much what it sounds like. They describe themselves as a “boutique” vinyl record label, which is pretty smart considering all the records they put out are limited edition, collectible and they all come with a code to download the mp3 version of the tracks. Every customer can be both indie and practical on every purchase.

The artists on their label represent the east and west coast, with Agent Ribbons, June Madrona, Half-Handed Cloud, and Castledoor representing the west and east coast representation in Rio En Medio and Luke Temple. Their vinyls, all colorful, heavy 70g with a gate-fold jacket and artist-designed artwork, are all $8 and can be purchased online or at a number of secret shops.

Now Seven Inch Project has officially named March their “Charity Month.” Each of the Seven Inch artists has picked a charity for a portion of their albums sales proceeds to go to this month. Think of it as contributing to a charity and getting a free vinyl!

So whether you want to support Doctors Without Borders by buying Agent Ribbon’s vinyl or snag the tunes of Castledoor to support the Melanoma Research Foundation, whichever you choose, everyone wins.
