This might be a lil risque for ICM but I gotta get some Andre Williams love on the site and it’s hard to find anything that would be considered safe.
While in Austin for SXSW I happened to notice that Andre Williams was playing a couple shows at the Continental Club. We caught up with him at a day party in town and snapped a pic with he and his band so we could feature the legend as an Ice Cream Man Pick of the Day in our daily bit we do in the Austin Chronicle.
"Let Me Put It In" is from an album Andre did in 1998 on In the Red Records called Silky. I own the CD but have no idea where it is so I bought another copy while at Wuxtry Records in Athens. The timing couldn’t be better because Mick Collins and Dan Kroha from the Gories are the main musicians on the album and the 4th episode of Road Trippin’ with Ice Cream Man airs Thursday at www.babelgum.com/icecreamman and it features the Gories performing for the first time in SEVENTEEN years.
