After a long weekend and only minutes before Monday officially begins, DJ Sidekick appears on the stage at Neumos to a very eager but low energy crowd. To send a bolt to energize the crowd, DJ Sidekick mixed up all the favorites from Long Beach during the early 90’s like Warren G‘s step-brother Dr.Dre and Warren G’s hip-hop group 213 with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. Once the crowd was ready, Warren G entered the stage to a roaring audience. The slight smile on Warren G’s face never left the whole show.
Warren G spoke about Nate Dogg’s condition after suffering two strokes and dedicated a few songs to his friend. He told the crowd Nate Dogg wouldn’t want the party to stop tonight. He asked the crowd to put one finger up in the sky for Nate Dogg.
Warren G invited Seattle rappers and hip-hop groups up to the stage to rap with him. They Live!, Grynch, Spaceman, and others hit the stage and honor Warren G with their lyrics for the opportunity to be on stage with him. By the end of the show, Warren G repeated that he wants to party tonight and left the stage.
