We love what we do. Not only do we get to travel the country, give away ice cream, and hand out at music festivals but we get to work with a ton of people and businesses that we like. Some folks give us free beer (thanks Caldera!) and some give us things that are even more useful, like the mobile broadband router that Cradlepoint sent us last year. This might not seem like the sexiest product I could be writing about but it’s saved our asses dozens, if not hundreds of times of the last couple years.
Basically, how it works: I take my cell data card modem thingee that I got from Sprint to connect to the internets and instead of putting into my comp (via PC slot or USB) I plug it into the Cradlepoint and a wifi network is created that our crew can use. There are some other products on the market these days that do similar things and Cradlepoint even makes some, like the new Rover Puck for Clear’s 4g wife-enabled service.
Thanks Cradlepoint for hooking us up. I still use the CTR500 all the time
