Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup

Quite the interesting and diverse lineup this year. Eminem and Arcade Fire just faced off at the Grammys, now they’re headlining Bonnaroo. Buffalo Springfield is reunited and playing only this once (although, personal opinion/thought, if it wasn’t for the fact that Neil Young and Stephen Stills were in the band, would anybody care about them?). You get your signature jam band with Widespread Panic, and the band that beat Arcade Fire for Best Alternative Album, The Black Keys. Of course tons more indie, jam, dance, hip hop bands, so many that I can’t say something about them all. Since the Bonnaroo website is flooded right now, I listed them all below.

From Ice Cream Man:
We love Bonnaroo and the day they announce their lineup… today!!… is always a bit of a holiday, even if for a hour or so of excitement. This is the 10th anniversary of Bonnaroo and the rumors were flying about who would headline. Unless you’re landing a Radiohead or a Led Zeppelin or getting Pink Floyd back together there’s really only so many options you have. Bonnaroo always gets a bit sneaky even if it’s not a huge artist. They managed to pull it off this year with Buffalo Springfield and Dr. John with the Meters but the rest is pretty much what you’d expect. Don’t get me wrong, I’m gonna be stoked to rock out to a bunch of these bands, especially during the late night sets from midnight til four in the morning. I hope Lil Wayne, Strokes, Explosions in the Sky, and My Morning Jacket (late night main stage?!?!?) are among them.
