A couple years ago Tune-Yards or… tUnE-YarDs, headed to Austin to play some gigs around South by Southwest. Sometime around then I got a email they were signed to 4AD and I saw this super-awesome video from Austin by Take Away Shows and Dig for Fire. It’s one of my favorite off-the-cuff type videos and it’s not just because they’re at Sam’s BBQ
Tune Yards has a new album coming out in a couple months and they just released the first song from it, Bizness, which I ended up listening to three times in a row. It’s not going to be for everyone but it’s groovy and catchy and I don’t mind the occasional screeching vocals, I think it adds to the charm.
