fIREHOSE – Back in Action

One of the bands I was most surprised to see on the Coachella lineup this year was fIREHOSE. I hadn’t heard any rumors of them getting back together and it had been 18 years since they last played. Growing up in Long Beach, Mike Watt was always a home town favorite – even though Minutemen and fIREHOSE were from San Pedro next door.

Starting April 5th in Sacramento you’ll be able to catch fIREHOSE on a west coast swing before they play Coachella on the 14th and 20th.

Until yesterday I didn’t know that Columbia was doing a Legacy reissue of Flyin’ the Flannel and Mr. Machinery Operator. Included in the two-disc set will be many outtakes as well as the super-kick-ass Live Totem Pole EP. Check you local record store on April, 3 to pick up a copy.

For more info see below or check out Watt’s hootpage or here
