Treasure Island Music Festival began in 2007, bringing a much needed music festival to San Francisco. The fest is notable not only because of it being situated on the island and the beautiful view of the city that brings, but also because of the way the lineup is set up. The two day festival features one day of mainly electronic and hip hop acts and a second day mainly featuring indie rock.
Ice Cream Man has been involved from the start, giving away ice cream to the festival folk after the end of the fest, one of the few where we get to actually be involved with the festival public. We also bring bags or push carts backstage for the workers and attendees there. In 2009 our van, Newt, broke down on the way out and we had to bow out, but expect to come back strong in 2010.
