Episode 16: Dungen, APSE and Jim Jarmusch in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Ice Cream Man is back at the festival that he would choose over all other festivals... All Tomorrow's Parties, the boutique, intimate, fan friendly festival held at the kitsch Kutshers resort in the Catskills, NY, where the artists sleep with the fans and the music is unpredictable and exciting. Ice Cream Man is lucky enough to chat with legendary indie director Jim Jarmusch who curated Sunday's line up of ATP and get amazing performances from Swedish Dungen and ATP-signed APSE.

Episode 15: Still Flyin and Langhorne Slim in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Not wanting to go quietly, Ice Cream Man throws a free dance party at Delores Park in San Francisco with local supergroup Still Flyin, free ice cream & people getting down. Never forgetting his roots, he then heads to where it all began, Ashland, Oregon to host the 7th Annual Ice Cream Social, a big gathering to say thank you to the town for the inspiring him to start “Slingin’ the Cream, Livin’ the Dream” and also to tend to his mouth full of pearly whites, as so loved he is in Ashland that this is where he returns year after year for his free dental care. Thank you Ashland for keeping Ice Cream Man’s toothy grin shiny and white! Langhorne Slim does a beautiful rendition of “Back to the Wild” fitting for Ice Cream Man’s hike in the hills. "Chicago's front yard, Grant Park, annually hosts Perry Farrell's Lollapalooza. With over 100 bands it boasts one of the largest line ups and Ice Cream Man loves it! Bringing you all the backstage madness and of course some rad performances. We have Canadian natives and Broken Social Scene members Stars, Atlanta hip hop rockers Constellations and the Danish indie rock stars The Kissaway Trail. Episode 12: Tegan and Sara, Nneka, Avett Brothers and more in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

"Another jammed pack week for you. Ice Cream Man road trips to Rhode Island for the Newport Folk Festival, held at historic Fort Adams, surrounded by water, not only is it the country's oldest festival, but one of the most picturesque. Of course we have amazing performances for you. The indie-pop identical twins Tegan and Sara do an acoustic version of their single ""Northshore"", the talented Nigerian-born beauty Nneka and her band give us a treat, Avett Brothers perform not only for Ice Cream Man, but a large number of the crowd from a scissor lift and we were blown away by new-comers The David Wax Museum, who include a donkey's jaw in one of their instrumentation. Episode 11: Pitchfork After Party and more in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Once the amaziness at Pitchfork comes to an end there's no better way to carry on the good times than at Bitchpork, the festival's unofficial, but best, after-party. Ice Cream Man takes us there! Slinging well into the night and catching live sets from the brother-sister punk rockers White Mystery and Chicago natives The Crown and Two Chairmen. Rad times in Chicago this week! Once the sight seeing is in the bag and the last ball is pitched Ice Cream Man returns to what he does best, slinging. Backstage at Pitchfork, the amazing annual three day festival, he keeps everyone cool. We then venture across the street to the Bottom Lounge to capture brilliant performances from Kurt Vile, Real Estate, Sharon Van Etten and the brilliant young Oberhofer with his special guests from Neon Indian and Bear in Heaven. On our way to Pitchfork we stop in Louisville, Kentucky, wanting to have a place to watch the World Cup Finals, celebrate Ice Cream Man’s Birthday, give away free Ice Cream and of course get some killer performances from bands - so we decide to have a BBQ at the wonderful Derby City Express! Episode 8: Les Savy Fav and Wayne Coyne in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

This week is a special week for Road Trippin’ with Ice Cream Man, so special that we’ve made it a little longer. Les Savy Fav give us a cool send off from our NYC adventures to our road trip up the country, where we stop to soak in some culture and visit the mother ship (Ben + Jerry’s HQ) before arriving at the first ever Nateva Festival. Set in beautiful Maine, Flaming Lips were top of the bill, giving us the opportunity to catch up with our old friend, Wayne Coyne again. His love for cream saw him dedicate a couple of special performances backstage before their set, after which, the Ice Cream Man team joins him on stage for some of the Flaming Lips spectacular we’ve come to know and love. Ice Cream Man hits New York City this week, not before stopping on his way to hit Hershey Park for some serious roller coaster action. After catching up with hard(ish) core rockers Diamondsnake, who are a brand new band from Moby, Ice Cream Man manifests some zen time and finds himself in Central Park with 10,000 others getting their Om on. Episode 5: Surfer Blood and Moondoggies in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Clocking miles across Tennessee this week! Ice Cream Man hits Memphis to meet up with Florida natives Surfer Blood, then Nashville to sling some cream at the CMT Awards, before arriving in Manchester - home of the 4 day Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. With the heat in the high nineties Ice Cream Man receives a warm welcome from the Silent Disco dancers when he comes to cool them down the best way he knows how. There’s a treat with the beautiful performance Moondoggies (who are currently touring with Blitzen Trapper) give us in a little oasis away from the festival. Episode 4: Fishbone and The Uglysuit in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Mulberry Mountain, AR is where Wakarusa now calls home. 15,000 music lovers and very colorful characters ventured to this magical location to enjoy the wide variety of music that, from Thursday morning through Sunday midnight, never stopped! We were so lucky to get a special Ice Cream Man song from the 1979 formed So-Cal natives Fishbone and a heartfelt performance of a beautiful “Pen & Self” from The Uglysuit. Episode 3: The Temper Trap and Freelance Whales in Road Trippin' with Ice Cream Man

Sasquatch Festival is held at The Gorge, Washington, one of the most scenic venues in Northern America. The weather was perfect and coupled with the sweeping views of the Columbia River there was not a lack of finding great places for bands to perform for us. This week we have the anthemic sounds of Aussie indie band The Temper Trap and the gorgeous group Freelance Whales. To top it all off Ice Cream Man takes the stage to introduce Pavement & sing Happy Birthday to Stephen Malkmus, in front of an intimate crowd of 20,000!!!

He's back!!! Ice Cream Man has returned to his natural habitat and favorite pass time - giving away free ice creams and catching killer bands while Road Trippin'.
